Consent to Receive SMS Text Messages

How Consent is Collected

Georgia Apostille & Notary collects explicit SMS messaging consent through our automated phone system (IVR). The consent process works as follows:

  1. The caller dials our business phone number.
  2. The caller selects their preferred language (English or Spanish).
  3. The caller hears the following message:

English IVR Script:

"We will send you a message with a few questions about your documents so we can get started right away. You can reply at your convenience and we typically respond within seconds. To receive your message via WhatsApp, press 1. By pressing 2, you consent to receive SMS text messages from Georgia Apostille and Notary. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. To receive a text message, press 2."

Spanish IVR Script:

"Le enviaremos un mensaje con algunas preguntas sobre sus documentos para comenzar de inmediato. Puede responder cuando le sea conveniente y normalmente respondemos en segundos. Para recibir su mensaje por WhatsApp, oprima 1. Al oprimir 2, usted acepta recibir mensajes de texto SMS de Georgia Apostille and Notary. Se pueden aplicar tarifas de mensajes y datos. Puede cancelar en cualquier momento respondiendo STOP. Para recibir un mensaje de texto, oprima 2."
  1. The caller actively presses 2 to opt in to receiving SMS text messages.
  2. The caller confirms the phone number where they want to receive the text message.

No SMS message is sent unless the caller actively presses 2 after hearing the consent disclosure. This constitutes explicit, informed consent to receive SMS text messages from Georgia Apostille & Notary.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on the client's service needs and the ongoing conversation. Typically, clients receive between 5 and 20 messages per service interaction.

How to Opt Out

You can opt out of receiving SMS text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message received from Georgia Apostille & Notary. Upon receiving a STOP request, we will confirm your opt-out and no further SMS messages will be sent to your phone number.
